- ExpressVPN Android Installation Guide

ExpressVPN has created an application to make it easy for Android users to connect to their service. Once you create an account and log in to your account page, you will see a link "established ExpressVPN". Click on this and it will take you to your license page where you can find the link to download the latest Android app ExpressVPN. Expand the Android tab and click on the "download on Google Play" button as shown in the image below. Leave this window open, copy or write the user name and password down you will need to connect to and activate Android application once it has been installed on your device.

In the Google Play Store, click to install the application. ExpressVPN The application is compatible with Android 4.0 and above. Once the installation starts, you will see a screen like the one shown below left. During installation, the application will ask you a few privileges that you need to approve for installation to continue.

Once installation is complete, you will see a screen like the one shown on the left below. This is the welcome screen. Swiping to the right will show you the middle and right screens. By pressing the "login" button on one of these screens which will result in the login screen shown in the above medium. Now is the time to enter the username and password that you saved earlier from your account page. The last image above shows you where to get your application logon password, if you failed to do so. Now that you've entered your login information, click on the red button connection to complete activation of the application.

This will bring up the screen shown on the left in the image below. ExpressVPN your account has been activated on your device and you can start using the service. By clicking on the red "next" button will bring up the recommended places you can connect. From there, you can just accept the recommendation up or one of those other pressing to start the login process or you can click Help me choose a server location as we did. This will bring up a well written help screen about what a ping test is, how it can help you choose the fastest server, and how to run one. We will discuss more about the help system used by the ExpressVPN Android app later in this section of our review.

After pressing the icon "speedometer" in the upper right of the screen above the middle, you will see a screen like the picture on the left below. You can cancel the test or click the box if you want this screen must not be shown again. We like the option to cancel the test, so we do not click the option mentioned above. The execution of the test will result in a screen like those shown to the right thereof. Their are three different tabs location of connection that you can use to connect to a VPN server. These are:

  • Recommended - This shows the higher locations recommended connection for you by ExpressVPN. We saw this earlier tab in this section
  • Favorites -. This shows the sites you have selected as preferred connection destinations.
    • You select a preferred connection by tapping the faded star next to the name of the location and turn red.
    • You deselect privileged connection pressing the red star next to his name.
  • all - This shows a list of all connections by region.
    • The four regions are: Americas; Europe; Africa, Middle East and India; and Asia Pacific.

The image below illustrates the favorites and all connection lists. The first image below shows what the Favorites list looks when you first see before you select a favorite location. It contains instructions for creating a favorite and an example. The middle image below shows the preferred screen once you have logged in and selected a few places some preferred connection. It is divided into two lists. The first is a recently connected list which shows the three most recent connections with the most recent first. This is followed by a list of places you have favored. Note that this list also shows the table of values ​​for each location in milliseconds. The final image below shows the "ALL" list of locations is organized first by region. Each region can be expanded to view all server locations so you can choose the best option to meet your needs.

The final way to choose a site to connect to click the search icon (magnifying glass) at the top and start typing the site name that you want connect. The lock is surrounded by green, the word is connected below the same color, followed by the location that you are connected. Tapping the red "disconnect" will first set up a warning asking if you want to close the connection. Tapping ok to this warning, you return to the list of recent connections with the USA in New York at the top of it. You can now drag the tab you want and select another location to connect to.

Exploiting the three vertical dots to the right of the icon of the speedometer will open a small menu screen with four elements as follows:

  • My account - This displays information about your account and allows you to refer friends
  • Settings - This display. list of options that you can set or actions that you can take.
    • Top game protocol - Tapping This will let you select your protocol from the following choices: Auto, UDP and TCP. (This is shown in the first image below)
    • Auto-Launch - Tapping this will allow you to connect at startup, select a protocol to use, and a default location to connect. You must register your setting to turn connect at startup. (This is shown in the middle image below)
    • Follow ExpressVPN Blog - This will take you to the website to sign up for the email list
    • Refer -. This will allow you to refer friends to get 30 days of free service

    • Share diagnostic data -. Share anonymous information about whether the VPN connections so successful ExpressVPN can improve service

ExpressVPN staff have designed an easy to install and use the Android app to be able to securely connect to servers in their network.
