Assuming you have already signed with our discount, you will simply want to enter your "Username" and "Password" and click the "Login" button. The application will remember your password so you do not have to enter your credentials every time you connect to the network Overplay. However, you do not need to stay connected. Depending on your situation, you may want to log out when you have finished using Overplay. It is very easy to do and we'll show you exactly how in a moment. First, let's take a look at the welcome screen to be displayed every time you open the Overplay Windows client.

You can think of this as the home screen or connection for the application. Here are the main screen, you will use to connect to the network Overplay. You have a few options on this screen. We will review them in more detail in a moment, but you do not have to change one of them. If you are satisfied with the location of the server listed in the "Change location visible", then you can go ahead and click the button "Connect". The screen will change once you are connected to the server.

As you can see the client now shows that we are connected to a server in Atlanta, Georgia. We blurred the IP address, but when you connect Overplay will provide a new virtual IP address in the same location as the server. This will allow you to browse the internet as if you were in this city. There is not much to go on this screen. You can simply click on the button "Disconnect" when you have finished using the VPN. After that, you can either click the "X" in the upper right corner to close the application or click "Logout" at the top if you do not want the customer to remember your login details the next time you the open.

There are a few more options in the Overplay client. To start, you need to be able to change the server location and the team made Overplay easy to do. Look back to our image to the home screen for a moment. The one with the big green button "Connect". You will notice a pin icon beside the United States, Atlanta in the "Change location Visible". Clicking on the pin to bring up the server selection screen, as shown below.

If you look at the picture carefully, you will notice that this shows the country, city and ping each server location. you can sort by any column. one of our favorite features in the client Overplay is that pings all the servers for you. If you sort by ping, as we did above, you will be presented with the lowest ping time, which will generally servers faster based on your current location. once you find the location you want to connect, simply click the name, then click the "OK" button at the bottom of the screen. This will take you to 'Home screen where you click on the button "Connect" to immediately establish a secure connection to the location of your chosen server.

There is another featureclient customer we want to cover and which options you have in terms of encryption. It will be easier to explain by showing you the home screen once again.

There is still a box on the screen that we have not yet covered. It is entitled "Choose your connection preferences" and offers a cursor with three options ranging from speed to safety. They encrypt each connection with OpenVPN so they are all safe. The difference is whether the client uses AES 256-bit or AES 128-bit encryption. We like to keep things as simple as possible in short one of the three options will encrypt your data and help protect your privacy online. We prefer the setting "balanced", which is in the middle of the cursor above.

We wanted to see how the impact of each encryption preferences would have on the speed so that we connected to the location of their server in Atlanta using each of the three options and saved our speed. this is far from a perfect experience, but it will give you an idea of what we experienced when switching between "speed", "balanced" and "Secure" in 'application. Here is a look at our speed for all three levels of encryption.

The "Speed" was the fastest at 60.93 Mbps, with "Balanced" arrives at 60.48 Mbps, and "security" still running at a impressive 58.97 Mbps. As you can see our speed has not changed that much between the protocol options. In fact, it differs by less than 2 Mbps. It really depends on your ISP connection speed and what you plan to do while connected to the VPN. We recommend setting the "balanced" for most users, but you can test each setting to see which is the best and switch between them at any time.
