You can use the ExpressVPN iOS app to connect to their service anywhere on your iPhone or iPad. Once you create an account and log on to their website, you will see a link "established ExpressVPN" under the subscription tab. Click on this and it will take you to your license page where you can find the link to download the latest iOS application for ExpressVPN. Expand the iOS (iPhone, iPad & iPod) tab and click the green "install ExpressVPN for iOS button as shown in the image below. Leave this window open, save, or write the name of user and password down you will need to connect to and activate the iOS app.
from the Apple iTunes store, download the application your iPhone or iPad device. once the app downloads the installation starts. the displayed images below show some of the screens in the installation process. in the first picture, you must press authorize or the configuration will continue. the middle image asks if you want to share anonymous data with ExpressVPN support staff to help improve the service. This is optional. the last image indicates that the configuration is complete.
by tapping the "take a turn" button in the last picture above show the following images from left to right. The first image below shows that you can connect to the current location in the UK - London or tap the arrow to select a different location. The middle image below shows the casting results to another location. This opens the tab recommendations of the locations of the screen. The last image is the result of selecting the red button "connect" in the first screen. In this case, it creates a connection between the real location France - Paris (in blue on the map) and a VPN server to our chosen location, UK - London. A red line connection indicates that a connection has been established between the two locations. You can tap the "Disconnect" button to terminate the connection. This tour shows some of the features of the iOS ExpressVPN that we will discuss in more detail later in this section. Now that we have taken the turn, lets continue.
By tapping the "great, let 'button will take us to the first of the screens shown in the image below. This is the login screen and displays slide sister. The images illustrate just some of the features of ExpressVPN service. Tap on the "sign" button to display the login screen where you can enter your username (email address) and password of your account page you wrote to the previous low or stored . This will activate the application on your device and you start connecting to ExpressVPN network.
When you first connect to the iOS app, you'll see a screen like the one shown on the left below. This screen allows you to zoom in and out on the map and drag it to the left or right. The red dots on the map represent ExpressVPN server locations that you can connect. The currently selected location is indicated at the bottom of the screen, under the "connect" button. The location selected in the first screen below is USA - New York. Screen Scroll down and to the left allows us to draw on the United States - Atlanta location as we did in the second image. This makes it the selected location as we can now see USA - Atlanta under the "connect" button in the middle picture. By tapping the Atlanta location also opened an information bubble ExpressVPN showing a logo, the name of the location, the IP address of the server there, and a blue icon representing an open connection. You can press the blue icon to initiate a connection to the United States - Atlanta location. Alternatively, you can simply tap the red button "connect". The last screen shows a connection to a VPN server in USA - Atlanta location. Blue icon now indicates a closed connection and the red "sign" has been replaced by the gray button "disconnection". You can also see a red line connection between your current location and the location that you are connected. Tapping on the blue icon will break the connection you back to the map centered on the location of your home that shows like a blue circle. Alternatively, you can press the "Disconnect" button to close the connection.
Pressing the up-arrow (^) next to the selected location will open the locations of the screen. The location screen has three tabs which are:
- Recommended - This tab shows you the top locations of servers recommended for you by ExpressVPN.
- The top recommendation is first displayed followed by a list of other recommendations. This is shown in the first image below
- Favorites -. This shows two different lists of sites. The first concerns the three most recent connections controlled by the most recent. The second is a list of places you have favored. This tab is shown in the middle image below.
- You select a preferred connection by pressing the star faded next to the name of the site that will be in red. By typing a red star reverse the process
- All -. This shows a list of all connections sorted by region. This tab is displayed in the last image below.
- The four regions are: Americas; Europe; Africa, Middle East and India; and Asia Pacific. Tap one of the down-arrows extend this region.
- The most recommended places are ranked at the top of each region.
by tapping a name under one of the location tabs will open a connection to this place. Countries can be expanded or contracted by tapping the triangle next to them. In addition to these tabs, you can also press the magnifying glass to search for a particular location. When you type letters in the search, the list of specified locations will respond and adjust until the one you want appears. You can then tap it to open a connection to it.
The last thing we want to look for ExpressVPN iOS application is the parameters that can be accessed by pressing the menu icon (three red horizontal lines) on the top left of the screen, as shown in the first image above the second image is the screen that appears when you tap the menu icon. The settings section in the middle of it a few options you can choose.
- Auto-reconnect (toggle off / on)
- VPN protocol - This is regulated by automatic default. The above right screen shows the options that are available for the iOS app are UDP, TCP and IPSec.
- Share diagnostic data (Toggle off / on)
The iOS app designed by ExpressVPN team is like other custom software they have written. It is easy to install and use. With it, you're only a few taps to securely connect to a VPN server in their network. They provide multiple ways to choose where you want to connect. You can connect to servers in a variety of ways as we have shown in this section of the review.
