A German hacker has shown the world how easy it was to steal someone's fingerprints, just from a photograph. Using a high resolution image, Jan Krissler used commercial software to lift a fingerprint and then build around for biometric security.
If present relatively easy to reproduce the digital footprint of someone, then the search for an alternative to passwords continue. Other options include retinal scans, portable technology to identify you, and voice recognition.
