The majority of users happy to give personal information on the Internet -

Ofcom research revealed that seven out of ten Internet users in the UK are happy to give personal information, but only one in five are willing to give credit card information. The survey of research by the regulator Ofcom UK telecommunications nearly 2,000 adults, focusing on using the Internet and how people are concerned about safety. Worryingly, the less people are educated in the dangers of identity fraud and the potential damage it can do by giving personal details.

While the risk of credit card fraud is obvious, someone who simply takes your name, date of birth and address could mean loans, mortgages, finance, phone contracts or any form of credit can be taken fraudulently in your name. Although this form of fraud is not necessarily to take physical silver owned by you, instead damage your credit, which will affect you any time you try to get credit in your name. In addition, with large mounting debts in your name, you could potentially be paying the bill when your loan amount remained unpaid. The worst is that you will not necessarily be aware that it happened until it's too late.

Whenever you're online, always be aware of when you need to input personal details like your name, date of birth and postal address. Always make sure that the site you enter details are secure. One way to make sure is to use VPN to connect to the Internet to ensure that your connection is encrypted and secure, even if you are in a public wifi zone. The VPN connects directly to the Internet without going through any potential attacks from the middle man, the kind who intercept your online business, which could replace reputable sites with fake.

Get a VPN and make sure wherever you are, you will be connected to the Internet safely and securely, regardless of whether you use a laptop, phone or tablet.
