Li-Fi could she replace Wi-Fi? -

A specially designed LED bulb capable of producing internet speeds as fast as 150 Mbp / s is a developing technology that could replace Wi-Fi.

loyalty Light or "Li-Fi" is a wireless technology and, as the name suggests, it is based on light. Li-Fi uses frequencies of light and has several advantages over Wi-Fi; it is very affordable, more energy, a faster connection speeds that many countries and because visible light is 10,000 times larger than the radio spectrum, it can achieve greater data capacity. Another advantage is that because the light can not pass through walls, the technology is safer than traditional Wi-Fi.

Earlier this year, the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute in Germany, reached speeds of 3Gbit / s, but now, Chinese scientists said they have produced speeds of 150 Mbp / s which they hope to reveal later this year in the International fair China Industry.

Li-Fi bulbs are fitted with a microchip that sends and receives signals by switching light bulbs and out at incredibly fast speeds and according to the researchers, up to four computers could connect to each ampoule.

Of course, one drawback to this is that the data received should be in view of the bulb and if you turn the light off no signal.

There are a few technical details still to be completed, including how the chip will be manufactured, and its design before the system 150Mpb / ready.

HMA! are all for fast Internet access and we keep our eyes on this.
