Report alleges that Microsoft has helped NSA access to encrypted messages -

Just when the NSA may have been hoping the public's attention was finally moves away from revelations "Prism", new documents have exposed the extent to which Microsoft was implicit in the secret surveillance operation, firmly pushing the government agency in the spotlight.

The Guardian reports newspaper that he received papers of Edward Snowden claiming that the computing firm has made life easier for the body by helping it to get past the data scrambling function which hides messages from third parties. The report shows that the NSA was able to have access to services, including Hotmail, Outlook, SkyDrive and Skype, with improvements in the oversight of the NSA Web telephone systems resulting from the collection up to three times Skype calls more than ever before.

Microsoft has defended itself by saying that the legal obligations forced to comply with the NSA and allow access to the agency's services. In a statement that was released after Microsoft report said he had "clear principles that guide the response in all of our society to government requests to obtain customer information." The company explained that when some services were improved or updated their legal obligations meant they had to preserve access to the application of the law that had been present in all previous versions and assured customers that it has never dealt coverage requests and only revealed data for "specific accounts and identifiers.

Perhaps the most interesting part of Microsoft's statement is the last sentence, saying that "there are aspects of this debate that we wish we could talk more freely. That is why we have called for more transparency would help everyone to understand and debate these important issues. Like most major newspapers have noted, the only information we have about all this so far came from Edward Snowden and forced companies to defend themselves against the allegations. With revelations continue to hit the media, surely the NSA will not be able to keep silent any longer.
