Beware of pirates - London Underground WiFi -

London Underground Free Wifi In preparation for the Olympic Games that are only a few weeks before London 2012, free WiFi was installed in several metro stations . Transport for London announced that the agreement involves a partnership with Virgin Media, a leading UK ISP.

what the FAQ fail to mention is that your unencrypted traffic is visible to anyone with a hacking database software -. Including some mail clients, passwords etc. Of course, you should be using a VPN as well.
