ISP Internet freedom attack -

A new report in collaboration with academics in South Africa has highlighted the shocking practices of some Internet service providers ( FSI), which are allegedly censor content and hinder Internet freedom without providing their customers the opportunity to object.

the issue was first highlighted by Professor Jane Duncan, the former head of South Africa Freedom of Expression Institute, which warned that "private censorship [by ISPs] in the most cases still more dangerous than government regulation, "because there is no right to appeal a decision to block access to a website and any form of recourse currently available to the authorities.

for now, the problem seems to be limited to certain parts of the world where the national government continues its own media censorship program, with generally considered ISPs to react to the pressure exerted on them by these repressive regimes . According to Professor Duncan, while the authorities often want to restrict access to content that is in conflict with their ideals, they often lack the technological capacity to implement an effective censorship program; force ISPs to block access allows them to deny responsibility, while using their superior technology to implement a more effective policy.

Critics of the government web censorship argue that it is an infringement of freedom of expression and open media ideals. In countries such as Russia and Iran, the authorities have even criminalize the online publication of certain content. The key for those wishing to circumvent censorship is to use a VPN or proxy server.

One of the most effective ways to fight against the ISP censorship and protect your identity online is to use the services of a high quality VPN provider, allowing you to surf anonymously on the net . Using a VPN provider routes all your Internet traffic through encrypted VPN service - which means that your ISP will not be able to see or filter the websites you're really asking. It also makes your identity much more difficult to trace, allowing you to blog and report more freely without fear of persecution. In a world increasingly censorship and technological advances, a VPN provider is becoming a necessity.
